The Help

I didn't know who I wanted to get a book recomendation from until I remembered my neighbor Katie's mom, Sue. She's really crazy and silly. Last night I was on skype with my neighbor Katie. As we were talking to eachother I remembered that I wanted to ask her mom if she could recomend a book for me to read. I asked Katie if I could stop by and ask her mom for a book. Her response was "uhmm yeah???". She was probably wondering why I wanted her mom to recommend me a book. It's ten o'clock at night I'm walking in the dark three doors down to Katie's house. When I arrive at the house Katie opens the door and I can see the book sitting on the counter waiting for me. The first glance I got of the book made it look huge but then when I actually had it in my hands and skimmed through it I thought to myself  "Oh it's not that bad I can read this in three weeks". I walked into the living room and awkwardly interupted Katie's mom while she is watching her movie but she seems more than happy to let me ask her questions. We sat down and I said "Hi can I ask you some questions about this book The Help by Kathryn Stockett?" we are sitting on her couch with the television on mute and she replies "You fruitloop coming here in the middle of the night". She's australian by the way it's kind of what they say. But she is telling me about how this book really inspired her because of the corageous and hardworking women in the novel. The basic summary of what Sue gave me about this story is "this book has black maids, hard working women, a white man who graduated from Ole Miss, and  it's a really great read.
